Choose DimePOS if…
Pick DimePOS if you want card acceptance and your point of sale from one Caribbean provider, with terminals, local wallets such as Lynk and NCB Pay, and a team that guides your setup.
DimePOS comes from DimePay, a Caribbean payments company. It pairs a cloud point of sale with card terminals and local payment rails, and it is a serious option for shops that want to take cards. Shopkeepa starts from the other end: a simple stock-first app for shops that are mostly cash and have no clean records yet. It is pre-launch, so this page is about fit.

Pick Shopkeepa when it launches if your shop is mostly cash, you mainly need to know what is on the shelf and what to reorder, and you want to start on a phone without buying terminals or changing how you get paid.

Shopkeepa is in development. Its column describes the planned first release.
DimePay's homepage leads with payments: tap, insert or swipe at the counter, send payment links and build a website checkout. It lists card schemes, wallets and local rails: NCB Pay, Lynk, JAM-DEX and bank transfers. DimePOS is its point of sale, listed alongside Shopify, QuickBooks and WooCommerce among its integrations.
Shopkeepa leads with the shelf. It tracks every sale, delivery, return and loss as a line in a stock ledger, reminds you when something runs low, and builds a restock list. Payments are recorded so your end-of-day numbers add up, but not processed. That keeps it out of card acceptance entirely, which is the right call for a shop that is mostly cash and the wrong one for a shop that wants to accept cards today.
DimePOS's App Store listing is a long list: multi-store management, variants, table service, kitchen display, shift scheduling, geofenced delivery zones, dual pricing to offset card fees, and an offline mode. The product serves restaurants and retail alike. A corner shop will use a fraction of it.
On cost, we found no price list for DimePOS. DimePay says online processing has no monthly or setup fee, that transaction fees apply, and that optional software and hardware can have separate charges. Ask for a written quote that names every fee before you decide. Shopkeepa has no price either, but it will be one app, not a payments account plus a software plan plus hardware.
Many shops will end up using both ideas: a bank or DimePay terminal for card payments and a simple app for stock. Shopkeepa works alongside a terminal because it only records the payment type.
If you already have products in DimePOS, ask for or build a spreadsheet of name, price, quantity, and cost, category and barcode where you have them. Import it into Shopkeepa with CSV or Excel import; a preview shows what will be saved and flags duplicates. Variants become separate products, and your terminal and payment account stay where they are. Finish with a rapid stock count.
They are related. DimePay is the Caribbean payments platform; DimePOS is the point of sale it integrates with. The DimePOS App Store listing mentions integrated DimePay. Ask DimePay what is included in your package.
Its App Store listing describes an offline mode that continues processing orders and payments and syncs when the connection returns. Ask about limits on offline card payments before relying on it.
We found no public price list. DimePay says online processing has no monthly or setup fee and that transaction fees apply, with software and hardware charged separately where optional. Ask for a quote.
Yes in practice. Take the card payment on the terminal and record the sale in Shopkeepa as a card payment. Shopkeepa does not connect to the terminal.
Mostly-cash single-counter shops that need stock control and restock reminders. It is pre-launch, and you can join the early access list.
