Shopkeepa is in development. Its column describes the planned first release.
Kyte's free plan includes a mobile point of sale, an online catalogue with one picture per product, custom digital receipts, customer registration, expense management and limited cash flow for one user. Its catalogue lives at its own link that you can share on WhatsApp and social media, and customers can place orders from it on paid plans. For a seller who works mainly through chat and social media, that is a real strength.
New accounts get a 7-day trial of the GROW plan and then drop to the free plan with no payment details asked. Kyte also charges no commission on in-person or online sales; only card processing fees apply to online payments.
The stock side sits on paid plans. Kyte's pricing page places inventory management, analytics, multiple users and bulk import across the PRO and GROW plans, and the free plan covers selling, catalogue and customers. Before relying on the free plan for stock control, check what it includes in your country. Stock tracking is part of Shopkeepa's first release, not an add-on.
A restock list, not just a warning. Kyte tells you when something is close to running out. Shopkeepa lets you set a minimum on each product, sends one reminder when stock crosses it, and puts the product on a restock list with a suggested order quantity. See low-stock alerts and how to set reorder points.
Different centre of gravity. Kyte is built around the catalogue, online orders, store credit and customer follow-up. Shopkeepa is built around the counter and the shelf: a stock ledger of every sale, delivery, return, damage and count, with owner and cashier roles so cashiers cannot see cost or profit.
Prices by country. Kyte says its prices follow each country's purchasing power, so the dollar amounts above are what its pricing page showed to us and yours may differ. Check the plan page in your own country before you decide.
Export your product list from Kyte if your plan allows it, or build a spreadsheet of name, price, quantity and, if you have them, cost, category and barcode. Import it into Shopkeepa with CSV or Excel import. A preview shows what will be saved and flags likely duplicates. Products with variations become separate products, and customer store credit balances do not move across, so keep a copy before you switch. Finish with a rapid stock count.
Kyte has a free plan with mobile point of sale, an online catalogue, digital receipts, customer registration and expense tracking for one user. Paid plans add inventory management, more users and more.
The Kyte app does, according to its help centre. Kyte Web, the browser version, needs an internet connection.
Kyte is used internationally and lists a Jamaican customer review on its pricing page. Check its help centre for currency and tax settings that fit GCT.
